Dr. Sarment attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his Master of Science and certificates in Periodontics and Periodontal Prostheses in 1999. A Diplomate of the American Academy of Periodontology, he maintains memberships with such professional organizations as the American Academy of Osseointegration and the American Dental Association. In addition, he is on the scientific review board of the Journal of Periodontology and is a member of the Scientific Committee at the American Academy of Periodontology. Dr. Sarment is a published author, having written a textbook, "The Manual of Dental Implants" and co-authored multiple scientific articles and book chapters. He has also lectured both on national and international circuits.
His goal is to provide the highest quality periodontal care to his patients in a comfortable, relaxed setting at his Alexandria, VA office. He promises to provide the most advanced procedures and equipment available to ensure that every patient achieves a healthy and beautiful smile.
Dr. Sarment grew up in a small town, about two hours south of Paris, France. "She was ahead of me when we were students, and she still is", says Dr. Sarment about his wife. They have three children, two girls and a boy. When not caring for his patients or writing scientific publications or books, Dr. Sarment's passion is with his family. They love to be outdoors, walk the trails and bike. Everyone in the family plays an instrument, and classical music is constant at home. Dr. Sarment and his wife have extended families from DC to New York.
