Gum Disease

Periodontal diseases are infections that cause bone loss, loosening and loss of teeth. Gum treatments may include surgery and aim at stopping bone and gingival recession. Some procedures can regenerate bone. Gum diseases increase risks of heart problems, diabetes and early birth for pregnant women. Conversely, people with systemic disease such as diabetes are at increased risk of periodontal disease.
Dental Implants
Dr. Sarment has been placing dental implants for over 10 years. He is the author of a textbook on dental implants.
Missing teeth can be replaced with dental implants. They are false roots, anchors in your jaw bones. Implants can hold caps or dentures.
